REVEREND FATHER MATTHEW OWUSU-MANU
Reverend Father Matthew Owusu-Manu is a Ghanaian priest for the Archdiocese of Cape Coast, Ghana. He was born in Twifo Mampong, in the Central Region of Ghana Though born to Catholic parents, his great grandmother was a fetish priestess in Twifo Mampong.
He entered the minor seminary of St. Hubert Minor Seminary, in Kumasi, from 1973-1980. Whiles in St. Hubert’s Seminary, he was enrolled as a non-resident student at the Opoku Ware Secondary School, Kumasi, for his Advanced Level (6th Form) Studies.

REVEREND FATHER MATTHEW OWUSU-MANU
He continued his seminary education at the major seminary of St. Peter’s Regional Seminary, Cape Coast, where he completed his philosophical and theological studies from 1980-1986.
On 20 July. 1986, he was ordained a Catholic priest for the Archdiocese of Cape Coast, Ghana, by Most Reverend John Kodwo Amissah.
He spent his first year of priestly ministry as a tutor in the St. Theresa’s Minor Seminary, Amisano, near Elmina (1986-1987), Ghana. From there, he was posted to the St. Francis de Sales Cathedral, Cape Coast, to serve as an Assistant Priest, with a proper responsibility as priest for the outstation Churches under the St. Francis de Sales Cathedral Parish.
Rev. Fr. Owusu-Manu travelled to Rome (1989) for further studies at the Pontifical Liturgical Institute of St. Anselm, where he obtained a Licentiate Degree in Sacred Liturgy. After his studies he returned to Ghana and served as a priest chaplain to the Catholic Chaplaincy of the University College of Education, Winneba, in 1992-1993.
Rev. Fr. Matthew Owusu-Manu, further moved to the St. Peter’s Regional Seminary, Cape Coast, to become a lecturer in Sacred Liturgy from 1993-1998. He was posted back to the St. Francis de Sales Cathedral, Cape Coast, as a Cathedral Administrator from 1998-2000.
He was, later, transferred to the Archdiocesan Secretariat to become the Notary for the Cape Coast Ecclesiastical Province Marriage Tribunal, from 2000-2010, and, also to be in charge of the Liturgy Office. Additionally, he was the priest chaplain to the Sisters of the Infant Jesus, which is a Religious Nuns Community for the Archdiocese of Cape Coast.
Between 1993-2010, Rev. Fr. Matthew Owusu-Manu, as the Archdiocesan Liturgist, had been the one in charge of the Liturgy Office, and the Chairman for the Liturgical Committee of the Archdiocese of Cape Coast. At that same period, he served as the Cape Coast Archdiocesan Representative on the National Liturgical Commission of the Ghana Catholic Church.
Since February 2010, Rev. Fr. Matthew Owusu-Manu has been in Düsseldorf, Germany, taking ministerial care of the Ghanaian Catholic Community of Dusseldorf and Cologne, which is under the ecclesiastical jurisdiction of the Archdiocese of Cologne, Germany.
