INTERNATIONAL PENTECOST FEAST IN IN DÜSSELDORF

Pentecost – the international and multicultural church festival.

On Pentecost Sunday, May 20, 2018, we celebrate Pentecost again in its original meaning, with people from many countries around the world.

We begin at 10.00 with an international festival in the church Holy Trinity, Jülicher Straße 50, which is musically shaped by the choirs of the German, Italian, French-speaking, Ukrainian Greek-Catholic and Ghanaian community.

The subsequent street party in the Barbarastraße is characterized by numerous culinary, musical and cultural delights and performances as well as a colorful offer for children in the parish garden.

The following churches participate in the International Pentecost:

Catholic Church Derendorf Pempelfort – parish Holy Trinity
English-speaking community
French-speaking community
Ghanaian community
Indian community
Italian community
Maronite community
Philippine community
Romanian uniate community
Spanish-speaking community
Ukrainian Greek Catholic community

The origin of Pentecost, according to the biblical tradition, goes back to the Pentecost event 50 days after Easter. At Pentecost, Christians around the world celebrate that the Holy Spirit touches and fills people (see Acts 2: 1-41). It therefore also counts as the beginning and the birthday of the church as a whole.
