CHRISTIAN MOTHERS´ ASSOCIATION – GHANAIAN CATHOLIC COMMUNITY DÜSSELDORF & COLOGNE
The Christian Mothers´Association was founded towards the end the year 2012. About 20 members of the former Women´s Fellowship approached the Priest – in Charge of the Community, Rev. Fr. Matthew Owusu-Manu and the Advisory Board to obtain a permission to form the CMA. Other women of the community wanted to form the St. Theresa´s Association, so the Advisory agreed on this request and permitted the women to form their associations. The necessary contacts were made with the national headqurters in Accra and preparations were made towards the initiation and inauguration of the CMA in Düsseldorf.
The Members of the Association were initiated on Saturday, 25th May 2013 at 7:00 pm by the National President Mrs. Cecilia Quarnsah and the National Secretary Mrs. Elizabeth Addai Boateng. The initiation ceremony took place in the Holy Trinity Church in Düsseldorf. The Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Matthew Owusu-Manu, assisted by Deacon Obeng Boateng from Modena in Italy. Christian Mothers´ from Hamburg, Modena Italy and Casa Franco Italy were present to support their mothers in Düsseldorf.
The Association was inaugurated during the Mass on Sunday, 26th May 2013 at 1:00 pm. The Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Matthew Owusu-Manu assisted by Deacon Obeng Boateng. There was a refreshment session after the mass in the Barbara Hall.
